Belarus has begun forming a new airborne assault brigade, which will be stationed near Gomel — approximately 40 km from the border with Ukraine. This was stated on the air of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense TV channel by the commander of the special operations forces of the Belarusian armed forces, Alexander Illiukevich, reports UNN.

It concerns the 37th separate airborne assault brigade.
