Belarus has begun forming the 37th separate airborne assault brigade near Gomel, 40 km from the Ukrainian border. Commander of the Special Operations Forces Oleksandr Illiukevych announced the recruitment of a battalion and support units.
Belarus has begun forming a new airborne assault brigade, which will be stationed near Gomel — approximately 40 km from the border with Ukraine. This was stated on the air of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense TV channel by the commander of the special operations forces of the Belarusian armed forces, Alexander Illiukevich, reports UNN.

Let us add that currently in Belarus there are three separate airborne assault brigades: the 103rd in Vitebsk, the 38th in Brest, and the 5th in Maryina Gorka near Minsk.
