Attempted bribery of top officials in the field of restoration: court arrests accomplice of MP Labasiuk

The High Anti-Corruption Court has remanded in custody with the possibility of bail in the amount of UAH 12.078 million the head of the private company "U.R.D. Ukrainian Roads" Denys Nazimov, who is a suspect in the case of attempted bribery of top officials in the field of restoration. UNN reports this with reference to the SAPO.

On November 24, 2023, the HACC investigating judge, at the request of NABU detectives, agreed by the SAPO prosecutor, applied a sanction to the head of the business entity, who, together with the MP, was exposed for providing undue benefits to top officials in the field of restoration, a preventive measure in the form of detention with an alternative of UAH 12.078 million bail

It is noted that the detention is valid until January 21, 2024.

In addition, the following procedural obligations are imposed on the suspect:

-        to appear at every request of the detective, prosecutor and court;

-        not to leave the city of Khmelnytskyi without permission. Khmelnytskyi without the permission of the detective, prosecutor or court;

-        to notify the detective, prosecutor or court of changes in their place of residence and place of work;

-        to refrain from communicating with other suspects in the case and witnesses;

-        to deposit a passport for traveling abroad and other documents entitling to leave Ukraine and enter Ukraine with the relevant state authorities;

-        to wear an electronic control device.

MP Serhiy Labaziuk of the For the Future party was served with a notice of suspicion of bribing the Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine - Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine and the Head of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
