A large-scale fire broke out in the village of Petropavlivska Borshchahivka, Kyiv region, due to a generator catching fire in the yard of a house, damaging the garage and roof of the house.

A large-scale fire broke out in the village of Petropavlivska Borshchahivka, Kyiv region, as a result of a generator catching fire in the yard of a house. UNN reports this with reference to the regional police. 

On July 10, at about 19:00, it was reported that a large-scale fire was going on in one of the private estates in the village  of Petropavlivska Borshchahivka.

As law enforcement officers preliminarily established at the scene, a generator caught fire in the yard of the house. As a result of the fire, the garage and the roof of the house completely burned down.

The fire was extinguished by the State Emergency Service.

Law enforcement officers once again emphasized the need to operate household appliances with caution. 

As of July 8, there were 211 fires in Ukrainecaused by the use of generators, batteries, charging stations, inverters, and gas canisters. Generators caused 36 fires. A total of three people died.
