Air quality in Kyiv and the surrounding area has deteriorated due to unfavorable weather conditions and low wind speeds. The Ministry of Environment has provided recommendations for health protection, especially for people with respiratory diseases.
In Kyiv and the surrounding area, there is a temporary deterioration in air quality due to meteorological conditions, in particular, low wind speed, the Ministry of Environment reported in a statement on the state of air quality in Kyiv on the morning of November 25, publishing a number of tips, UNN reports.
According to the KCSA, Kyiv and its surroundings are currently experiencing a temporary deterioration in air quality. The reasons for the deterioration are meteorological conditions, in particular, low wind speed
To reduce the negative impact on health, as noted:
- If possible, avoid being outdoors, especially during periods of heavy smoke.
- Keep windows and doors closed to prevent smoke from entering the room.
- Maintain your water balance. Drink plenty of water.
- Use a mask or respirator and an air purifier.
- Use air purifiers.
- Do wet cleaning of the premises.
"People with diseases of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems should pay special attention to these tips," the ministry emphasized.
