Amazon's post-apocalyptic series Fallout, set in the same universe as the video game, has been renewed for a second season after becoming a worldwide hit on Prime Video in its first four days.

"No details are available at this time, except that the show has been renewed for a second season," the publication writes.
While there are no specific numbers on how successful the series has been on Prime Video, Amazon says that "in its first four days, the high-octane series was a hit with a global audience, ranking among the top three most-watched series in history and the season with the most worldwide views since The Lord of the Rings.
The aforementioned Lord of the Rings series premiered back in 2022.
Amazon's take on Fallout, set in Los Angeles, is told from three different perspectives: vault resident Lucy (Ella Purnell), Brotherhood of Steel member Maximus (Aaron Moten), and the Ghoulie (Walton Goggins). Instead of a direct adaptation of Bethesda's post-apocalyptic role-playing game, this is a new story set in the same universe. "As players in a video game, we follow a path that interests us," executive producer Graham Wagner told The Verge. - "And we hope that these are common interests.
The success of the series continues a series of video game adaptations, including HBO's The Last of Us and The Super Mario Bros.
