"To return to our home. This is the biggest dream of everyone who lost their homes to Russian terrorists.

For the residents of 120 apartments in one of the five-story buildings destroyed by the Russians, this dream has come true. Thanks to the United24 fundraising platform, created at the initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a house in Irpin at 42 Davydchuk Street has already been restored and put into operation," Kravchenko wrote on Facebook.

According to him,  the UNITED24 ambassador, the famous French director Michel Azanavicius, joined the fundraising for the reconstruction of this building.

Kravchenko said that a huge amount of work was done because some apartments were destroyed to the ground. The roof, ceilings, walls and facade were restored. All damaged windows, doors, and  balconies were also replaced. The entrances to the damaged apartments have been repaired, water and gas supply has been arranged, and there are recreation areas and playgrounds near the building.

"People are gradually settling into their repaired homes, and children's laughter can be heard on the playground," said the RMA head.

In total, according to Kravchenko, 18 apartment buildings will be rebuilt in Kyiv region at the expense of UNITED24. Before the war, more than 4,000 people lived in them. A number of other buildings will be commissioned soon.
