A drunken driver of a Ford Mustang caused an accident in Kyiv, injuring a passenger and a 7-year-old child. He faces up to 8 years in prison and a ban on driving.

The driver of a Ford Mustang, who caused an accident while intoxicated, was served a notice of suspicion. A 7-year-old child was injured in the accident. This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, according to UNN

Under the procedural supervision of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, the driver was served a notice of suspicion of committing an accident with grave consequences while intoxicated (Part 2 Art. 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)

According to the investigation, the driver of the Ford Mustang, while intoxicated, was driving down Heroiv Dnipra Street towards Bohatyrska Street. He crossed a double solid lane, drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a Ford Mondeo.

Reportedly, a passenger in a Ford Mustang was seriously injured in the accident. The driver of the Ford Mondeo, the passengers of the car, and their child sustained light injuries.

According to the conclusion of the forensic toxicological examination, the driver of the Ford Mustang had 1.93 ppm of alcohol in his blood, the prosecutor's office said. 

He was served a notice of suspicion and a custodial measure of restraint was chosen. Now the driver faces up to 8 years in prison with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to 8 years.
