The court seized 4 helicopters, 2 airplanes and assets worth more than UAH 35 million of Crimean entrepreneurs who, after the annexation, re-registered their companies in Russia and paid taxes there, financing Russian aggression against Ukraine.

The court seized 4 helicopters and 2 airplanes  of Crimean entrepreneurs who, after the annexation of the peninsula, re-registered their companies in accordance with Russian legislation and pay taxes in Russia.  This was reported by UNN with reference to the Office of the Prosecutor General.

At the request of prosecutors of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office, property belonging to persons associated with the financing of Russian armed aggression against Ukraine was seized. The property in question includes 4 Mi-2 aircraft and 2 Antonov-2 aircraft

- the OGP said in a statement.

In February 2024, 9 Ukrainian entrepreneurs registered in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea were served with a notice of suspicion. The investigation established that the limited liability company, where the suspects are founders and ultimate beneficiaries, owns a number of movable property items.

In order to block movable assets and prevent their re-registration to front companies to avoid further confiscation of property, helicopters and airplanes belonging to the company were seized at the request of the prosecutor.

Property and corporate rights of entrepreneurs worth over UAH 35 million were also seized.

The suspects are charged with financing actions committed to change the boundaries of the territory and state border of Ukraine in violation of the procedure established by the Constitution of Ukraine (Part 3 of Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

"The investigation established that after the annexation of the peninsula, these business entities re-registered their companies in accordance with the requirements of Russian legislation. They are currently conducting their business activities from Russia and paying taxes, financing the aggressor country," the Prosecutor General's Office said.
