254 battles took place at the front over the past day - General Staff

Over the past day, August 22, 254 combat engagements were recorded on the frontline. The enemy launched two missile strikes using six missiles and carried out 98 airstrikes, during which it dropped 329 guided aerial bombs. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, UNN reports.

The Russians also used 11,859 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,318 shellings of settlements and positions of Ukrainian troops.

The enemy shelled the settlements of Korenok, Ulanove, Bachivsk, Volfyne, Yastrubshchyna, and Luzhky with artillery. In addition, an airstrike was carried out in Sumy region near the settlement of Potapivka.

The aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck three areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, four control posts for unmanned aerial vehicles, and one command-and-observation post.

On the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk fronts, Ukrainian defenders stopped 13 enemy assaults over the past day. At the same time, the aggressor carried out one airstrike using three guided aerial bombs and shelled the positions of our troops and settlements 67 times, including five times using multiple rocket launchers.

On the South Slobozhanskyi front, Ukrainian units repelled 21 enemy attacks. The invaders attempted to advance near Izbytske, as well as toward Okhrimivka and Volokhivka.

On the Kupiansk front, the enemy attacked twice toward Zahryzove.

Attempts to breach our defenses were repelled on the Lyman front, where the occupiers attacked nine times near Lyman, as well as toward Stepove, Shyikivka, Kopanky, Novoselivka, and Drobysheve.

On the Sloviansk front, the enemy conducted seven assault operations near Kryva Luka, Zakitne, and Ozerne, as well as toward Mykolaivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.

On the Kramatorsk front, the occupiers attacked three times toward the settlements of Minkivka, Yurkivka, and Tykhonivka.

Twenty-five attacks were recorded on the Kostiantynivka front. The invaders conducted assault operations near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, and Mykolaipillia, as well as toward Novoselivka and Stepanivka.

On the Pokrovsk front, Ukrainian defenders stopped 24 attacks. The enemy was active near Bilytske, Serhiivka, Molodetske, and Kotlyne, and also launched assaults toward Novopavlivka, Shakhove, Kucheriv Yar, Novyi Donbas, Shevchenko, Myrne, and Udachne.

On the Oleksandrivka front, the invaders carried out four attacks toward the settlements of Andriivka-Klevtsove and Nechaivka.

On the Huliaipole front, the occupiers attacked 15 times near Hirke, Charivne, Yehorivka, Vozdvyzhivka, Rivne, Dobropillia, Dolynka, and Verkhnia Tersa.

On the Orikhiv front, Ukrainian defenders stopped two attempts by the enemy to advance toward Pavlivka.

On the Dnipro front, the enemy did not conduct any assault operations over the past day.

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected on the Volyn and Polissia fronts.

Over the past day, Russian invader losses amounted to 1,310 personnel. Also neutralized were 26 armored combat vehicles, 69 artillery systems, one air defense system, three missiles, one aircraft, eight ground-based robotic systems, 1,925 unmanned aerial vehicles, one operational-tactical missile system, 415 motor vehicles, and four units of the enemy’s special equipment.
