Ukrgasvydobuvannya held a UAH 24.537 million tender through the Prozorro system for demining services for 1.6 million square meters of commercial land, with Ukroboronservice as the only bidder, despite the presence of about 40 national demining companies.
Ukrgazvydobuvannya has held a tender through the Prozorro system for the purchase of services for demining of commercial land. The total cost of the tender is UAH 24.537 million, UNN reports.
It is a technical survey to clear the combat zone of mines/explosive ordnance on the territories with a total area of up to 1,626,650 square meters.
The winner and the only bidder was the State Enterprise UKROBORONSERVICE, a subsidiary of the state-owned company Ukrspecexport. At the same time, there are about 40 national humanitarian demining companies in the mine action market, but none of them applied to participate.
The expected productivity for manual demining is at least 300 square meters per day, for the main volume - at least 8,000 square meters per day.
"This is a very good and powerful signal for companies engaged in mine action, as the procedures are becoming transparent. This time, Ukroboronservice was the only participant. But this is a very good signal that we are moving in the right direction in procuring humanitarian demining services. Transparency of the processes is an important component," said Oleksandr Romanyuk, Chief Economic Officer of UDS, the national mine action operator.
