103 combat engagements since the beginning of the day: almost half of them in Kursk region

There were 103 combat engagements at the front, most of them in the Kursk region - 47. The enemy remains highly active in the Pokrovsk sector, with the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully repelling enemy attacks.
103 clashes have occurred at the front since the beginning of the day, high hostile activity remains in the Pokrovsk sector, and the largest number of clashes - 47 - was recorded in the Kursk region, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a summary as of 16 December, UNN writes.

During the day, the enemy fired artillery from the territory of the Russian Federation at the areas of Prohres, Stepanivka, Osoyivka, Oleksandrivka, Novodmytrivka, Porozok, Popivka in Chernihiv and Sumy regions. Oleksandrivka was hit by a UAV attack.

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions, however, it conducted air strikes in the areas of Tsupivka, Mali Prokhody, Vesele, and Udy.
In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to advance to our positions near Lozova and Kolisnykivka four times during the day, three attacks were successfully repelled, and one firefight is ongoing.
In the Lyman sector, seven combat engagements took place near Tverdokhlibove, Zelenyi Hai, Terny and in Serebryansky forest. One firefight is still ongoing. The enemy was actively using aviation in the area, Tverdokhlibove, Nadiya, Serhiivka, Hrekivka and Serebryanske forestry were hit by air strikes.
In the Siversky sector, the enemy conducted offensive actions in the areas of Bilohorivka, Hryhorivka and Verkhnekamianske, repelling seven attacks in total, and another battle is still ongoing. The areas of Serebryanka, Siversk, Riznykivka and Fedorivka were hit by air strikes.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy attacked once in the area of Chasvyi Yar.
In the Toretsk sector, the invaders tried to advance eight times in the areas of Toretsk and Shcherbynivka. Three of the attacks were successfully repelled by our defenders, and five firefights are ongoing.
High enemy activity is still observed in the Pokrovsk sector. Ten times today, clashes of varying intensity started. Ukrainian troops repelled nine attacks near Sukha Balka, Mirolyubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachanske, Solone and Novovasylivka, and another battle is ongoing. The enemy launched a KAB airstrike on Vodianske.
In the Kurakhove sector, near Sontsivka, Staryi Terny, Andriivka, Kurakhove and Dachne, three attacks were repelled, five firefights are still ongoing.
In the Vremivsky sector, the aggressor attacked ten times in the areas of Uspenivka, Kostiantynopilske, Blahodatne, Neskuchne and Novodarivka. Three attacks have been repelled so far, and seven more are ongoing. The enemy aircraft launched KABs at Novodarivka, Temyrivka and Zelenyi Pole.
"In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders are still repelling 18 attacks by the invaders, and 47 combat engagements have been recorded so far," the report says.
Ukrainian troops are depleting the enemy along the entire front line and in the rear.
