The President of Ukraine discussed the Victory Plan and military assistance with Kier Starmer and Emmanuel Macron. Particular attention was paid to long-range weapons and support on the path to NATO.

In Budapest, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and later with French President Emmanuel Macron, UNN reports with reference to the OP.

Details

According to the OP, the main topic of Zelenskyy's meeting with Starmer  was the implementation of the Victory Plan, which the President presented to the British Prime Minister last month in London.

"Thank you, Prime Minister, we have had frequent discussions and very important decisions to strengthen Ukraine. I thank you and the entire nation. We are very proud of this bilateral relationship between our nations. Thank you for standing with us in this difficult period," the President said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that it was extremely important to support Ukraine with long-range weapons and authorize their use against military targets on Russian territory.

The Head of State also emphasized the importance of supporting the Ukrainian defense industry, in particular for the production of long-range UAVs and drone missiles.

The President thanked the United Kingdom for the recent decision to provide Ukraine with a $3 billion loan at the expense of the proceeds of frozen Russian assets. This money is part of the $50 billion that the G7 countries have pledged to give Ukraine to strengthen its defense capabilities.

Supporting Ukraine on its path to NATO was also among the key topics of the talks. Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that it was important to invite Ukraine to join the Alliance, which is the first point of the Victory Plan.
