President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, where they discussed defense financing deficits and needs for weapons development, including rocket interceptors, and received a number of reports, including on the plans of the russian federation, UNN reports.
I held a Staff meeting. The key issue is the funding needed for our Defense Forces and the security of Ukraine for the autumn-winter period. We identified the main deficits and additional needs for developing the most innovative and technologically advanced types of weapons, accelerating the production of our strike capabilities and new types of defensive weapons, including rocket interceptors. The intelligence services provided updated information on Russia's plans – we are preparing a response and our asymmetric countermeasures
Deep strikes and middle strikes
"On a weekly basis, we analyze the results of long-range sanctions against Russia, as well as medium-range sanctions. The designated sanctions plan is being implemented, and we are promptly adjusting priorities so that Ukraine's capabilities 100% match the need to achieve all the objectives of our sanctions plan," the President said.
According to him, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Ihor Klymenko reported on the "status of implementation of the decisions of the Staff and the National Security and Defense Council, and the areas requiring additional attention."
"There was also a separate report from the special services on the status of targeted operations against collaborators in the temporarily occupied territory, in particular in Sevastopol, who are involved in Russia's strikes against Ukraine and Ukrainians. The collaborators' accountability is inevitable. Glory to Ukraine!" Zelenskyy said.
