Zelenskyy confirms strike on military enterprise in Perm Krai

The Head of State confirmed an SBU strike on the Metafrax Chemicals plant in Russia. Production of components for missiles and drones at the facility has been completely halted.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the strike on one of the important Russian military enterprises, "Metafrax Chemicals," located 1,700 km from the border with Ukraine. Zelenskyy wrote about this on Telegram, UNN reports.

"I am grateful to the Security Service of Ukraine for the strike on one of the important Russian military enterprises. The distance from our border is 1,700 kilometers, in the Perm Krai. 'Metafrax Chemicals' is an important part of the Russian chemical industry,"

Zelenskyy wrote.

He added that the enterprise's products supply dozens of other Russian military production facilities—including aircraft and drones, rocket engines, and explosives.

"Now the production process at the enterprise has been halted. Our long-range sanction is important,"

Zelenskyy added.

On Saturday, May 23, explosions occurred in Russia's Perm Krai. The "AKM" chemical complex of the "Metafrax" company in Gubakha was hit.
