President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the detention of the former commander of the 155th Brigade and other military personnel — a total of 10 people — in the case of the murder of two residents of the village of Kalynivka in Kyiv region, UNN reports.
Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko reported on the detention of another person from the group that brutally killed two residents of the village of Kalynivka in Kyiv region. A terrible tragedy, and all those guilty will be brought to justice. Ten people have already been detained. These are, unfortunately, servicemen and the former commander of the 155th Brigade. Everything they did will be thoroughly investigated
The President stated that "this is a case that concerns not just one community and not just one Kyiv region." "Establishing the full truth and bringing all those guilty to justice is a need for the entire country. That is how it will be," he noted.
"Today, the head of the region together with the head of the regional police also spoke with the community of Kalynivka. It is important that people are helping to uphold justice for the Moseichuk family. Everything that was promised to the people during this conversation must be fully implemented. I thank everyone who is helping, and the media representatives — for their concern," Zelenskyy emphasized.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Klymenko, in turn, stated that the police detained the 10th suspect in the murder of two brothers in Kyiv region as a result of large-scale work by law enforcement officers.
"A terrible crime. The public outcry it caused launched a public discussion about the behavior of certain servicemen in the rear. It is unacceptable to resolve conflicts using gangster methods. And at the same time, it is unacceptable for such cases to cast a shadow on those who protect us from the bloody enemy at the front," Klymenko wrote on social media.
"People who commit crimes must understand that the inevitability of punishment will definitely come for all those involved. Operatives, criminal analysts, and investigators of the Kyiv region police processed dozens of video surveillance cameras, analyzed the routes of vehicle movement, identified the cars used, and collected evidence that allowed them to gradually reconstruct the chronology of the crime," the minister reported.
According to him, "investigations do not happen live; not everything can be discussed immediately." "A large-scale effort by the police together with the prosecutor's office was carried out, and it yielded results — the detention of an organized criminal group," Klymenko stated.
"The investigation is ongoing. My condolences to the family of the deceased. The guilty will be held accountable for the crime committed," the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized.
Recall
Earlier, UNN confirmed in the Office of the Prosecutor General that the commander of the 155th Brigade, Stanislav Luchanov, has been detained.
The Military Law Enforcement Service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the former commander of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade and all currently identified participants in the crime have been notified of suspicion in the case of illegal deprivation of liberty and premeditated murder.
Prior to this, the Operational Command "North" reported on the investigation of events involving military personnel of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade, noting that the commander had left service without authorization and was being sought.
This statement appeared after the media published information that law enforcement officers had detained several soldiers of the brigade.
According to data on the brigade's website, since February 2026, the commander of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade (military unit A5001) named after Anna of Kyiv has been Lieutenant Colonel Stanislav Luchanov. Until 2026, he held the position of chief of staff in the 425th Separate Assault Regiment "Skelya".
