At the Ukraine-Southeast Europe summit, the president called for strengthening coordination and sanctions. The leaders of the region confirmed support for Ukraine and its European integration.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Ukraine – Southeast Europe summit called on European countries to strengthen coordination and jointly counter Russia's attempts to destabilize the situation, as well as to support the 21st sanctions package. This is reported by UNN with reference to the official website of the President of Ukraine.

The event was attended by leaders of the EU and countries of the region. Zelenskyy thanked partners for their support and emphasized the importance of security cooperation.

"Ukraine is already contributing to common security," he noted.

The President stressed the need to strengthen sanctions against Russia and combat its influence.

"The 21st sanctions package is currently under consideration. I ask you to support this package. Do not allow Russia to circumvent sanctions. We must focus primarily on striking Putin's sources of funding and Russian energy exports. It is money that fuels Putin's ambitions. Peace will become closer when pressure maximally reduces Russia's revenues," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Leaders of Albania, Serbia, Croatia, Moldova and other countries confirmed support for Ukraine, its European integration, and readiness for cooperation in the field of security and reconstruction.

The summit was held for the fifth time, the next one is planned to be held in Slovenia in 2027.
