President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron. The Ukrainian and French leaders discussed strengthening Ukrainian air defense, defense support, speeding up the transfer of French Mirage aircraft and inviting Ukraine to join NATO, UNN informs.

According to Zelensky, he discussed with Macron comprehensive defense support, strengthening software, as well as speeding up the process of transferring Mirage aircraft.
"We discussed in detail how to strengthen air defense and protect the lives of our people. I stressed the importance of inviting Ukraine to NATO, expanding long-range capabilities - not only as a necessary measure to counter Russian aggression, but also to bring peace closer – and continuing to train and equip Ukrainian brigades both in the territories of the Alliance's member countries and through the development of the idea proposed by France for training missions on the territory of Ukraine," Zelensky added.
