The last power line was disconnected, forcing the ZNPP to switch to diesel generators. The IAEA is negotiating the repair of damaged networks.

The Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP has lost all external power supply for the thirteenth time since the beginning of the war after the last external power transmission line was disconnected, the IAEA reported on Tuesday, writes UNN.

This morning, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) lost all external power supply for the thirteenth time since the start of the military conflict after the last external power transmission line was disconnected. The plant's emergency diesel generators immediately started operating to provide the energy needed to perform essential safety functions.

- the IAEA reported.

The IAEA team at the plant, as stated, is monitoring the situation.

"Meanwhile, the IAEA continues consultations with both sides on establishing a local ceasefire to allow repairs to another power line for the ZNPP," the statement said.

"The loss of external power supply once again highlights the risks to nuclear safety during the conflict," commented IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi.
