Yellen also said that the new tranche of direct budgetary assistance to Ukraine amounted to $3.9 billion, and this economic aid "will stabilize Ukraine's domestic front.
With all of Ukraine's tax revenues going to the war effort, support (for Ukraine - ed.) from the United States, our allies and partners is critical to equipping first responders, keeping hospitals and schools open, and supporting other important government functions,
Yellen also added that the U.S. Treasury Department will continue to use all tools to help Ukraine in its fight, including maintaining sanctions and working to unlock the value of Russia's frozen sovereign assets.
