"The Ukrainians will be looking to NATO countries for retired pilots to help them until they train their own pilots," he said.
According to the senator, this way Ukraine will be able to use the F-16 aircraft provided by its partners earlier, while Ukrainian pilots will receive appropriate training.
Graham added that he was going to raise this issue in the United States upon his return.
"My message is that we need to be fully engaged. That's what I want to see in 2024: I'm going to raise this issue. I'm asking President Biden, before he leaves office, to make sure that that invitation is issued," Lindsey Graham added.
