Those injured at work will receive higher monthly payments for care and medical support. Compensation amounts depend on individual needs.

Victims of industrial accidents who require care and medical support will now receive higher monthly payments. The amount of assistance will depend on the level of the victim's needs. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, as reported by UNN

Details

This refers to those who, as a result of an accident or occupational disease, need constant care, medicines, or medical devices

-  Svyrydenko emphasized.

New compensation amounts are calculated according to individual needs and will be:

  • UAH 4,000 — if a person needs special medical care and simultaneously medication or medical devices;
    • UAH 2,000 — if constant external care and medical support are needed;
      • UAH 1,333 — if household care and the use of medical devices are needed;
        • UAH 800 — when it comes to the need for sanitary and hygienic products and medicines.

          Thus, the state strengthens support for the most vulnerable citizens so that they are not left alone with problems acquired through work.

          Addition

          People's Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko said that the amount of compensation for injuries at work would be tied to the minimum wage.
