The bodies (remains) of 1,000 deceased persons have been returned to Ukraine, UNN reports with reference to the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
Today, repatriation measures took place, as a result of which the bodies (remains) of 1,000 deceased persons were returned to Ukraine. According to the Russian side, the returned bodies belong to Ukrainian servicemen

As reported by the Coordination Headquarters, law enforcement investigators, together with expert institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system, will conduct all necessary examinations to identify the repatriated persons. After the identification of the deceased, the bodies will be handed over to their families for dignified burial.
Repatriation measures were carried out as a result of the joint work of employees of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the Joint Center under the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Persons Missing in Special Circumstances, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and other structures of the Security and Defense Sector of Ukraine.
The Coordination Headquarters expressed gratitude to the International Committee of the Red Cross for its assistance.
