This was reported by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, UNN reports .
The first meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Council after the European Council's historic decision to open pre-accession negotiations. He thanked the European partners for the Ukraine Facility mechanism, which provides assistance of EUR 50 billion over 4 years. And also for their support in other economic issues, including the extension of the "economic visa-free regime"
He noted that Ukraine's second key priority is long-term, sustainable and predictable military support from the EU. According to him, Ukraine is looking forward to the effectiveness of the newly created Assistance Fund for Ukraine under the EPF, which provides for an additional 5 billion euros of military support this year.
We expect the sanctions pressure on Russia to increase. We also need quick decisions on the confiscation of Russian assets. We insist on full confiscation or other use of all frozen assets. I am grateful to Josep Borrell and Oliver Varghese, all partners and friends for today's productive meeting of the Association Council
