On Vyshyvanka Day, the monument of the infant founders of Kyiv was dressed in traditional embroidered shirts from various regions of Ukraine, the monument's author Volodymyr Zhuravel reported on social media on Thursday, UNN reports.
Friends, Happy Vyshyvanka Day! Traditionally, we have dressed the Little Ones for the holiday! Lybid is wearing an embroidered shirt from the Chernihiv region, Kyi from Volyn, Shchek from Zakarpattia, and Khoryv from the Kyiv region. The costumes for the infants and the embroidered shirt for Kyi were made by Kateryna Zhuravel; the embroidered shirt for Lybid was made by Valentyna Leha; the embroidered shirt for Khoryv was made by Mariia Leha. According to him, the Little Ones will be dressed in the costumes today from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
"The next dressing-up is planned for Kyiv Day on May 30-31," he added.
