The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to allocate an additional UAH 3.88 billion for the further construction of defense borders, primarily in Kharkiv and Sumy regions. This was announced on Friday by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, UNN reports.

Of these funds, UAH 1.7 billion will be allocated for Kharkiv region and UAH 1.5 billion for fortifications in Sumy region. Donetsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions will also receive additional resources
According to him, since the beginning of the year, the Government has already allocated almost UAH 30 billion for the construction and arrangement of fortifications. The work is going on 24/7.
On April 6, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the construction of fortifications was 92-98% complete in some areas of the frontline.
