The Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court of Ukraine has upheld the decision of the High Council of Justice to hold Pavlo Vovk, the former head of the District Administrative Court of Kyiv, disciplinarily liable. This was reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the Supreme Court.

The Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court considered the appeal of the former head of the District Administrative Court of Kyiv against the decision of the High Council of Justice, by which the HCJ upheld the decision of the Third Disciplinary Chamber of the High Council of Justice to hold the DACK judge disciplinarily liable and apply a disciplinary sanction in the form of a submission for his dismissal from the position of judge
Based on the results of the appeal consideration, a resolution was adopted: to dismiss the judge's appeal against the HCJ decision, and to leave the HCJ decision itself unchanged.
Context
The High Council of Justice dismissed Pavlo Vovk from the position of judge of the already liquidated District Administrative Court of Kyiv for committing a significant disciplinary offense. This occurred in March of last year.
Prior to that, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine ruled that judge Pavlo Vovk failed to confirm his ability to administer justice in the Cassation Administrative Court within the Supreme Court.
In 2022, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law on the liquidation of the District Administrative Court of Kyiv and the formation of the Kyiv City District Administrative Court.
