Putin said he is ready to outline the nuances of his proposals for a "peaceful settlement" of Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine at a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

At a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in the Kremlin  , Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said he was ready to outline the nuances of his proposals for an alleged "peaceful settlement" to the full-scale war in Ukraine that Russia started.

UNN reports this with reference to TASS.

I know that you have recently been in Kyiv to discuss all the nuances of the situation (Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine - ed.) on the Ukrainian direction. I am at your disposal. You probably know about my speech to the leadership of the Foreign Ministry, which was recently delivered in Moscow. It outlined our (Russian - ed.) position on a possible peaceful settlement. And, of course, I am ready to discuss the nuances with you. I hope that you will familiarize me with your position, with the position of our European partners

- Putin said.

During his talks with Putin, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that the number of countries that can talk to both Ukraine and Russia is rapidly running out.

EU Diplomacy Chief Josep Borrell made a statement regarding the visit of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who currently holds the EU presidency, to Moscow, noting that Orban had not received any mandate from the EU Council to visit the Russian capital and that the visit was solely within the framework of bilateral relations between Hungary and Russia.

On June 14, Kremlin dictator Vladimir  Putin said that Russia was ready to start negotiations to end the war in Ukraine, but that Ukraine needed to withdraw its troops from the territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions and declare Ukraine's non-nuclear and non-aligned status.

On July 2, during a visit to Kyiv, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban asked President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to consider whether a ceasefire and negotiations could be initiated.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy subsequently stated that Ukraine could not trust Russian dictator Vladimir Putin regarding ceasefire statements.  There have been hundreds of meetings between representatives of Ukraine and Russia since the Minsk agreements,  and agreements have been reached, but Russia has constantly broken them.
