Poland is scheduled to sign a $2 billion contract with the United States on Monday for logistical support for Patriot missile defense systems. This is reported by UNN with reference to Bloomberg.

"Air defense is the largest investment in the Polish army, which requires the most funds. This is the protection of the Polish sky, it is within the Polish airspace - so for us it is an absolute priority, and it is very good that there is Polish-American cooperation in this area," Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysh said in an interview with Polsat in Krakow.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk also called on the European Union to create an air defense shield to strengthen the bloc's ability to deter aggression. Providing technical support and training is the latest step to make Patriot batteries fully operational.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a conversation with US President Donald Trump, asked to transfer additional missiles to the Patriot air defense system. Trump said he would consider the issue.
Zelenskyy also stated that there have never been enough missiles for SAMP/T. He stressed that Ukraine had asked its partners to obtain licenses to produce missiles for these systems.
