Details

It is noted that 14 fires were caused by Russian strikes.

The highest number of fires was recorded in the Kharkiv region. There, foresters, together with SES rescuers, liquidated two large-scale fires covering more than 22 hectares in the Izium forestry.

Extinguishing was complicated by the presence of explosive objects

- reported the SE "Forests of Ukraine."

Also, due to enemy drone attacks, seven small fires were extinguished in the Chernihiv region.

Other fires broke out due to the careless handling of fire by local residents in the Rivne, Volyn, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions.

The enterprise noted that foresters responded promptly to all incidents, using new firefighting machinery and equipment. The average area of a single fire did not exceed 1.3 hectares.

Separately, SE "Forests of Ukraine" commented on the fire on the slopes of Mount Pikuy in the Carpathians.

It did not originate in the forest fund of SE "Forests of Ukraine," but on the territory of the "Boykivshchyna" National Nature Park

- the report says.
