Answering questions regarding the prospects for achieving peace, Lukashenko stated that current wars are the result of human actions, not external circumstances.
"As never before, we have the opportunity to stop these wars. Everything depends on the desire of literally a few people. If there is such a desire, then these wars can definitely be ended this year. And even the conflict between Russia and Ukraine can be concluded this year,"
Speaking about the situation in the Middle East, he stated that he sees no alternative to ending the hostilities.
"There are no other options there but to stop the war. And it will be stopped this year. I hope that it will happen even in the near future,"
In Lukashenko's opinion, the United States plays a key role in ending the conflict between Israel and Iran.
"I know the position of the President of the United States of America, on whom much depends in ending this war. He is aimed at stopping this war,"
At the same time, he emphasized that the situation around Ukraine is more complex than the conflict in the Middle East.
"This is the difference between this conflict and the war in Ukraine. Here, it is a more complex conflict than there, in Iran,"
Summarizing, he stated that he is convinced both conflicts will end by the end of the year.
"I don't even just hope, but I am confident that these conflicts will be stopped,"
