High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas called for a further significant increase in economic pressure on Russia to help end the war in Ukraine. This is reported by UNN with reference to Deutsche Presse-Agentur.

As Kallas noted, measures must be taken against Russia's so-called "shadow fleet," which Moscow uses to export and distribute oil, thereby generating revenue to finance the war.
She added that Western allies must be creative and closely coordinate their actions, arguing that sanctions would have a significant effect if the United Kingdom, the United States, Europe, and other partners from the Group of Seven (G7) implemented the same measures.
When asked whether the war in Iran led to weapons intended for Ukraine and financed by Europe being subsequently redirected to the Middle East, Kallas replied that she had made an inquiry to NATO. She was told that this was not the case and that weapons continue to arrive in Ukraine as planned.
