Dubinsky is removed from his position in the VR committee. Kuzminykh - next?

Today, People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Finance, Tax, and Customs Policy decided to exclude Oleksandr Dubinsky from its composition and from the position of deputy head of the committee, writes UNN.

Our tax committee finally got to the point of excluding Oleksandr Dubinsky from the position of deputy head of the Committee and its composition... I suggested that since agent "Buratino" was delegated to our committee, and even to the position of deputy, by "Servant of the People," then they should recall him themselves according to their quota. But this will be a Committee decision)))

- Zheleznyak wrote on his Telegram channel.

It should be recalled that Dubinsky is accused in criminal cases, is under US sanctions, and is involved in scandals and investigations, but until now he remained in the committee, which is supposed to fight the "shadow," although he himself seems to be a part of it.

Unfortunately, Oleksandr Dubinsky is far from a unique case. The Ukrainian parliament has enough characters whose "track record" looks more like an extract from a criminal proceeding than a resume of a people's deputy.

One of them is Serhiy Kuzminykh, who was caught red-handed in 2022 while receiving a bribe of 558 thousand hryvnias. He has been served with a notice of suspicion, but he is still a member of the Committee on National Health - and that sounds like a cruel joke.

Kuzminykh is not just a "suspect." He is a people's deputy who evaded justice, repeatedly ignored court hearings, and delayed the consideration of the case for more than two years. And here's the main thing: all this time he remains a member of the parliamentary Committee on National Health. Such is the irony of fate - a person associated with political "illness" participates in shaping policy in the field of medicine.

The public demand for such personnel purges in parliament has long been formed. It is important that people who adhere to the law and principles of integrity work in the Verkhovna Rada, and do not use their deputy mandate as a tool to protect themselves from responsibility.

So, perhaps the example with Dubinsky is just the first bell. And it would be logical if others followed. For example, Kuzminykh, who should have long ago lost his status as a lawmaker.
