The Belgian government and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) have signed a €9 million financial agreement to be used for green energy renewal in Ukraine. This was reported by UNN with reference to UNDP.

It is noted that financial support from Belgium will help repair and restore critical energy facilities, which will ensure the provision of necessary services to millions of Ukrainians.

The proposed activities under this partnership will focus on cities such as Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Odesa, where the need for efficient energy solutions is most urgent.

By deploying backup generation systems and improving local energy infrastructure, UNDP aims to increase access to essential services such as heating, electricity and clean water.
