Last year, according to the Kyiv City State Administration, 12 babies were also born in city maternity hospitals, but 7 girls and 5 boys.
On this New Year's Eve, according to the Kyiv City State Administration, the first baby was born at 00:01 in Kyiv City Maternity Hospital No. 1. "It's a boy weighing 3,140 grams and 53 cm tall," the report says.
And the most babies - seven - as indicated, on the night of January 1, 2026, were born in the Perinatal Center of Kyiv: 4 boys and 3 girls.
"In total, 38 babies were born in Kyiv during the day: 17 boys and 21 girls," the Kyiv City State Administration reported.
