All of the 30 Shahed-type attack drones launched by Russian troops in the skies over Ukraine overnight were shot down, the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, said on Wednesday, UNN reports.

On the night of August 7, according to him, the Russian occupiers attacked with Shahed UAVs from the areas of Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Yeysk.
The Air Force's radio engineering troops detected and tracked 30 attack drones. As a result of air combat, all enemy UAVs were shot down in Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kharkiv and Cherkasy regions
The forces and means of the mobile firing groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, anti-aircraft missile units and airborne electronic warfare were used.
