84 air targets, including 58 Shahed drones and 26 missiles, were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense systems during a massive Russian missile and drone attack on the night of March 29, Ukrainian Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk said on Friday, UNN reports.

According to the commander, on the night of March 29, 2024, the enemy launched a powerful missile and air strike "on the facilities of the fuel and energy sector of Ukraine, using various types of missiles and attack UAVs: a total of 99 air attack vehicles.
In particular, according to him, the enemy used:
- 60 "Shahed-136/131" strike UAVs (Primorsko-Akhtarsk launch area, Kursk region - Russian Federation);
- 3 X-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles (from three MiG-31K fighters - Ryazan region - Russia);
- 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles (TOT Crimea);
- 9 X-59 guided missiles (from nine Su-34 aircraft - Belgorod region);
- 4 "Iskander-K" cruise missiles (Kursk region - Russia);
- 21 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles (from eleven Tu-95MS Engels strategic bombers).
Anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force and Ground Forces, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare equipment of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in repelling the missile attack, he said.
According to Oleshchuk, "84 air targets were destroyed as a result of the anti-aircraft battle.
- 58 attack UAVs of the "Shahed-136/131" type;
- 17 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles;
- 5 X-59 guided missiles;
- 4 Iskander-K cruise missiles.
