Oleksandr Ruvin spoke about the study of Russian war crimes and new data on Russian weapons. The experts of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise revealed attempts to improve the technical characteristics of enemy weapons, in particular, guided aerial bombs.

Ukrainian experts continue to carefully document the facts of Russia's war crimes against Ukraine. What are the main areas of research currently being conducted, what are their results, how do they affect the formation of the evidence base for future trials of the Russian Federation - said Oleksandr Ruvin, Director of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise in a commentary to UNN.

The Director of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise pointed out the painstaking work on collecting and analyzing evidence of war crimes committed on the territory of Ukraine.

We are talking about enormous work in various areas, such as military, forensic, economic, engineering and other types of research. These are the facts of massive rocket attacks, destruction of property and impossibility of Ukrainian enterprises, crimes against people, destruction of critical infrastructure, etc

- Ruvin said.

He added that all the facts and evidence of the crimes committed against our state are fundamental for further legal proceedings at both the national and international levels. We continue to cooperate with international partners to ensure high quality research and compliance with international standards.

Ruvin also spoke about the results of recent research on weapons used by the enemy against Ukraine.

Recent research has provided new data on the use of Russian guided aerial bombs, in particular on the peculiarities of operation and the equipment of the planning and correction module with foreign microchips. These data indicate the enemy's constant attempts to change and improve the technical characteristics of the weapons used, so it is important for the Ukrainian side to study and counteract them as much as possible

- said the Director of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise.
