Strong things are needed to push Russia to peace, and Ukraine is ready to support every strong initiative that will make diplomacy more effective. Ukraine is preparing substantive work with European partners this week for the sake of concrete security steps. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening address, reports UNN.
Today there were meetings on diplomatic work. I recently spoke with Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov. Yesterday there was a meeting with the American team. Today, US representatives spoke with the war team - with representatives of Russia. After that - another meeting of the Ukrainian and American teams. I also expect a new report. We need movement towards real peace, towards guaranteed security. And we need it all: in Ukraine, in Europe, in America, everyone in the world who wants peace in international relations
He noted that Russia is the only actor that is prolonging this war and mocking our people and the whole world.
To put pressure on Russia for peace, we need strong things, strong steps. We are ready to support every strong initiative that will make diplomacy more effective, and this means that we need to put pressure on Russia to make it want to end the war. And these are sanctions. And this is support for Ukraine. And this is international coordination. We are preparing for this week and substantive work with our European partners for the sake of concrete security steps - joint security steps.
