European Commission Vice President Věra Jourová visits Kyiv to discuss Ukraine's EU enlargement initiatives and the fight against corruption, pledging continued EU support.

I am glad that I could come to Kyiv. I will discuss with our Ukrainian friends their enlargement initiatives, especially in the fight against corruption
- the Vice President of the European Commission said in a statement.

However, she added that the EU will support Ukraine as much as it is needed and for as long as it takes.

Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna said that Ukraine has already started advocacy work with each of the member capitals on the need to make a decision to open EU accession negotiations, both for Kyiv and for the European Union itself.

According to her, today there is not a single EU state that is skeptical about Ukraine's European integration aspirations.
