UN condemns Russia's missile and drone attacks on Ukraine

The UN criticized Russia's recent attacks in Ukraine, reporting 31 civilians killed and 160 wounded.
During an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation in Ukraine, which took place late on Friday night, UN Assistant Secretary-General Mohamed Khairy condemned Russia's attack on Ukraine over the past 24 hours, UNN reports.
Unfortunately, today's horrific attacks were only the latest in a series of escalating attacks by Russia
He emphasized that at least 31 civilians were killed and 160 people were wounded in the largest Russian air strike since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Ukraine has submitted a request for to hold a meeting of the United Nations Security Council on December 29. The meeting was held in response to Russia's missile and drone attacks, which resulted in a large number of of civilian casualties and destruction of civilian infrastructure.
