Ukrzaliznytsia has launched online sales of discounted tickets for people with disabilities

Ukrainians with disabilities can purchase discounted tickets from a special reserve online, without visiting a ticket office. This was reported by UNN with reference to Ukrzaliznytsia.

To do this, follow these steps:

• Update the Ukrzaliznytsia application;
• In the profile, click "Add benefit" and enter the ID number;
• If necessary, enable the "Person in a wheelchair" checkbox.

If you are unable to add the benefit, Ukrainians are advised to contact the Social Protection Department. After this, access to seats in special compartments, adapted primarily for people who use wheelchairs, will be opened for the passenger and their companions.

The corresponding carriages will automatically be displayed first among the available options. These seats are also available for people with musculoskeletal disorders and passengers who use other assistive rehabilitation devices (prosthetics, crutches)

They added that there are currently 54 carriages with inclusive compartments operating in Ukraine, as well as a separate inclusive carriage for the travel of 8 passengers who use wheelchairs or other rehabilitation aids.

Ukrzaliznytsia is scheduling four additional trains for late March and early April due to an increase in passenger traffic. Additionally, one of the long-distance routes will be extended to Yaremche.
