Ukrainian para athletics won nine medals in two days of the European Summer Games in Poland

Over two days of competition in Bydgoszcz, Ukrainians won seven gold and two silver awards. The Ukrainian team is represented by 14 athletes.

The Ukrainian national athletics team has successfully started its performance at the European Summer Games – the European Para Athletics Championships, which are taking place in Bydgoszcz, Poland. In the first two competition days, Ukrainian athletes won nine awards – seven gold and two silver. This was reported by the National Committee for Sports of Persons with Disabilities of Ukraine and the National Paralympic Committee of Ukraine, as reported by UNN.

The European champions include Liudmyla Danylyna (5000m run), Anton Komarovskyi (3000m steeplechase and 5000m race walking), Yelizaveta Ilienko (multievent), Pavlo Voluikevych (10000m run), Maksym Koval (shot put), as well as the mixed relay team consisting of Valentyn Tomashchuk, Olha Zazuliak, Serhii Sapetchenkov, and Yuliia Shuliak, which won the 4×200 meter relay.
Silver medals were won by Anastasiia Mysnyk and Oleksandr Yarovyi in the shot put events.
The European Summer Games run from July 3 to 12 and bring together athletes with intellectual and physical disabilities.
Ukraine is represented by 14 track and field athletes who are competing against about 150 athletes from 14 countries.
