It is noted that Elina Svitolina and Caroline Wozniacki played each other for the sixth time (for the first time since 2020) and the Ukrainian tennis player recorded the fifth victory in their confrontation.
"The match in Auckland lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes. Svitolina served five aces, made one double fault, lost three games on her serve and made five breaks," the statement said.
In the second round, Elina Svitolina will play against the winner of the match Elena-Gabriela Ruse (Romania) - Emma Raducanu (Great Britain).
