In the final round of the UEFA European Football Championship (U19) group stage, the Ukrainian national team defeated Italy 3-2 and secured a place in the semifinals of the tournament.

The match started with a quick goal from Ukrainian Gennadiy Synchuk, who opened the scoring in the 8th minute. However, the Italians did not give up, and in the 34th minute Ebonet, and then Romano in the 52nd minute, put their team ahead.

But the Ukrainians quickly regained their balance - two minutes after the conceded goal, Danylo Krevsun scored thanks to effective pressure.

In the 75th minute, the Ukrainians took the lead again thanks to an accurate shot by Matviy Ponomarenko from the eleven-meter mark. The referee's final whistle recorded a 3-2 victory for the Blue and Yellows.

In the previous two rounds, the Ukrainians played to a zero-all draw with the national teams of Northern Ireland and Norway. Thanks to the victory in the last match, our team took second place in the group and made it to the playoffs.

This success secured the Ukrainian national team a ticket to the U20 FIFA World Cup to be held next year in Chile. European representatives will compete for five places on the world stage.

In the semifinals of Euro 2024 (U19), which will take place on July 25, the Ukrainian national team will meet the winner of Group B, which could be Spain or France.
