More than 520 deported Ukrainian children have been returned, according to Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.

Ukraine has managed to return more than 520 deported Ukrainian children. This was announced by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets on the sidelines of the international conference "Freedom or Fear" on Thursday, a UNN correspondent reports.

We managed to return 522 Ukrainian children, of whom 387 were illegally deported to the territory of the Russian Federation,

Lubinets said.

In addition, he noted that the Russian side publicly states that there are more than 700 thousand Ukrainian children in Russia.

"We are trying to confirm the numbers in different ways. I am clearly aware that the figure of 19.5 thousand (deported children - ed.) will grow, because there are many more children," he said.
