Ukraine called on the UN Security Council to immediately submit a resolution on a ceasefire

Deputy Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Volodymyr Pavlichenko called on Security Council members to immediately submit a draft resolution on an immediate and unconditional ceasefire. He emphasized the need to continue military support for Ukraine to restore peace.

The United Nations Security Council must immediately consider a resolution on a ceasefire in Ukraine. This was stated by Volodymyr Pavlichenko, Deputy Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN, during a UN Security Council meeting, reports UNN.

According to him, "the paralysis of the UN Security Council on the issue of Russia's crimes must be ended by the international community that still respects the rules-based international order."
Therefore, we again call on Security Council members to immediately submit a draft resolution on an immediate and unconditional ceasefire
He emphasized that this step "will clearly demonstrate support for restoring a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in Ukraine" and called on partners to continue military support for Ukraine.
"This is not an escalation, but the only effective strategy for restoring peace and saving lives," the diplomat concluded.
Reminder
Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha stated that Ukraine no longer requires third-party permissions for long-range strikes on military targets on the territory of Russia. He emphasized that this is the right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter.
