The "Diakivtsi - Rakovets" checkpoint has been temporarily opened for large passenger buses.

High-capacity buses will be able to temporarily cross the Ukrainian-Romanian checkpoint "Diakivtsi – Rakovets". This was agreed upon by the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Romania, reports UNN citing the relevant ministry.

Buses will be allowed through until the end of summer, during the period of increased passenger flow across the Ukrainian border.

Details

Mutual understanding on this issue was reached during negotiations between Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Serhiy Derkach and State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Romania Ionel Scriștianu.

According to Derkach, the temporary opening of the checkpoint for high-capacity buses should speed up border crossing for passengers and reduce the load on other directions.

This allows passengers to cross the border faster and reduces the load on other checkpoints. Currently, the decision remains temporary, but we continue working with Romanian colleagues to make the movement of such buses through "Diakivtsi" permanent

- emphasized Serhiy Derkach.

Addition

The Ministry of Development reminded that to leave Ukraine, carriers must register in the eCherha system.

Recall

A few days earlier, one of the checkpoints on the border with Romania suspended operations. It was about the checkpoint "Halmieu - Diakove".
