In the Kerch Strait, two Russian tankers had an accident - one ran aground and the other drifted. The incident killed one crew member, evacuated 12 sailors, and caused an oil spill.

The IC of the Russian Federation for Crimea and Sevastopol has already opened two criminal cases over the accident of two tankers in the Kerch Strait.

According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, another 12 sailors were evacuated.

The operational services began rescuing the sailors from the second tanker.
