Two police officers killed in shootout in Turkey

In the Turkish city of Çorlu, a suspect opened fire on law enforcement officers during a call. Two police officers were killed; the attacker was wounded and detained.

In northwestern Turkey, in the city of Çorlu, Tekirdağ province, two police officers were killed while responding to a report of an armed conflict. This was reported by TRT Haber, according to UNN.
A group of plainclothes police officers was dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of an armed clash. When the law enforcement officers entered the building, one of the suspects opened fire on them,
It is noted that as a result of the initial shots, two police officers sustained fatal wounds.
Following the incident, additional police units and medical services arrived at the scene. During the shootout, the attacker was wounded and detained. He was taken to the Çorlu State Hospital.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
