Law enforcers detained two traders of "trophy" weapons that they tried to sell to criminals, the SBU reports, UNN reports.

The SBU, together with the National Police, has eliminated two channels of illegal sale of weapons and ammunition in Rivne and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, which were attempted to be sold to criminals.
In Rivne region, a trafficker of "trophy" weapons was detained, which he obtained through his own connections from former battlefields in the liberated areas of eastern and southern Ukraine.
He kept the received samples of Russian weapons at his place of residence, and delivered the "goods" to potential buyers in his own car

During the searches, a Kalashnikov AK-12 rifle, 4 F-1, RGO and RGN grenades, and more than 500 rounds of ammunition for small arms of various calibers were seized from the detainee.
Also in Prykarpattia, a resident of Kolomyia was detained who tried to sell three AK-74 assault rifles and a Stechkin pistol with ammunition to criminals.
"In addition, during the searches, almost 50 meters of detonating cord with explosives, combat grenades, silencers for small arms and armor-piercing ammunition were found on the attacker's person. He kept the entire arsenal in a cache he set up in an unfinished building near the private house of one of his relatives," the SBU added.
The detainees, who face up to 7 years in prison, are currently in custody. They are charged with illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives.
